In the Sushi Burrito, the flavors of sushi are packed into an easy-to-carry wrap. Japanese and Mexican food come together to make this dish, which is a unique take on traditional sushi rolls.
Ingredients:
- 2 cups sushi rice, cooked
- 4 nori seaweed sheets
- 1/2 pound sushi-grade raw fish tuna, salmon, or any preferred fish, thinly sliced
- 1 avocado, sliced
- 1 cucumber, julienned
- 1 carrot, julienned
- 1/4 cup pickled ginger
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
Instructions:
Lay a sheet of nori on a clean surface
Spread a layer of sushi rice evenly over the nori, leaving about an inch of space at the top
Arrange slices of fish, avocado, cucumber, carrot, and pickled ginger along the center of the rice
Sprinkle sesame seeds over the fillings
Roll the nori tightly around the fillings to form a burrito shape, sealing the edge with a bit of water
Repeat with the remaining ingredients
Slice the sushi burritos in half and serve with soy sauce for dipping
