Sushi Burrito

In the Sushi Burrito, the flavors of sushi are packed into an easy-to-carry wrap. Japanese and Mexican food come together to make this dish, which is a unique take on traditional sushi rolls.

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups sushi rice, cooked
  • 4 nori seaweed sheets
  • 1/2 pound sushi-grade raw fish tuna, salmon, or any preferred fish, thinly sliced
  • 1 avocado, sliced
  • 1 cucumber, julienned
  • 1 carrot, julienned
  • 1/4 cup pickled ginger
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds

Instructions:

Lay a sheet of nori on a clean surface

Spread a layer of sushi rice evenly over the nori, leaving about an inch of space at the top

Arrange slices of fish, avocado, cucumber, carrot, and pickled ginger along the center of the rice

Sprinkle sesame seeds over the fillings

Roll the nori tightly around the fillings to form a burrito shape, sealing the edge with a bit of water

Repeat with the remaining ingredients

Slice the sushi burritos in half and serve with soy sauce for dipping
