Southwestern Chicken Salad Burger



Adding the tastes of a Southwestern chicken salad to a regular burger will make a tasty and filling meal. These chicken salad burgers are delicious and perfect for getting together with friends and family on Football Friday.

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground chicken
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup diced red bell pepper
  • 1/4 cup diced red onion
  • 1/4 cup corn kernels
  • 1/4 cup black beans, drained and rinsed
  • 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • Lettuce leaves
  • Sliced tomato
  • Sliced avocado
  • Sour cream or ranch dressing for topping

Instructions:

Diced red bell pepper, red onion, corn kernels, black beans, chili powder, cumin, salt, and pepper

Put all of these ingredients in a bowl and mix them together

Mix the ingredients together until they are well mixed

Four burger patties should be made from the mixture

Set the grill or skillet over medium-high heat and add a little oil to it

For 5 to 6 minutes on each side, or until they are cooked all the way through and have a nice golden brown crust

Put the hamburger buns on the grill and toast them for one to two minutes, until they get a little brown

Put a lettuce leaf on the bottom half of each bun before putting the burgers together

If you want, you can add a chicken salad burger patty, tomato slices, avocado slices, and sour cream or ranch dressing on top

Put the top half of the bun on top, and serve right away
